The weather in the summer months can reach over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. While in the winter the temperature can go down to about negative 80 degrees. Since the annual average temperature is below freezing, there is a kind of permanent permafrost.
The average rainfall is about 400 to 600 mm in the western region and decreasing to 200 mm in the east region.
Most of the of the taiga is located on the Siberian Precambrian platform. The eastern Siberian taiga has a vast river network. These are from the larger offshoots of the Enisey River.
The Siberian Taiga in the eastern region covers more than a quarter of Russia's land. Much of the forest is in between to large rivers - the Yenisey and Lena. This is the only naturally occurring vast area of forests. The climate is in the two extremes. In the summer it becomes increasingly hot even though it is at a high elevation. The in the winter, it becomes bitterly cold because of the area the taiga is situated in. The scenery is close to that of a deciduous forest, just differences in the temperature and species of animals. There is about 1,500,000 square miles of the Siberian taiga in Russia. As of right now, the biome is stable and not as critical as some others. There tons of different species of tree life spread out in the large ecosystem of the Siberian taiga. This amazing land is some-what protected by laws in some of the regions. Somethings that threaten the Siberian Taiga are coal mining, logging, forest fires, pollution, and poaching. Several major hydroelectric projects are planned to be built around this region.
(non-living- Siberian Taiga river)
There a over 200 different animal species and over 2,000 species of plants throughout the taiga.

2.Siberian spruce
3.Siberian fir
4.Siberian stone pine
