All projects are due by the end of Wednesday, November 3 (11:55pm). Once you select an ecosystem, a wiki page will be created for you. All work is to be submitted to the wiki page. If you want multiple wiki pages for organization, please talk to Ms. Stratton
Your project must have the minimum listed below for an 85%. To reach a higher grade, you must include additional written, visual and content materials. Click this link for an example of what you need to have for your ecosystem
What biome your ecosystem is in and the general temperature and rainfall conditions of that biome.
The physical location of your ecosystem.
A map showing the location of the ecosystem.
A description (at least 300 words) and at least one image illustrating the ecosystem's habitat (the non-living part of the ecosystem) and at least three images showing examples of what your ecosystem looks like.
A list of at least 10 different organisms (populations) from your ecosystem - you must have at least 5 primary producers, 2 first order consumers, 2 2nd order consumers, 1 3rd order consumer.
At least 4 images of species found in your ecosystem.
A system diagram showing the flow of energy for your ecosystem (a food web for your ecosystem).
Cite all sources in MLA format.
At least one additional multimedia piece showcasing your ecosystem (it can be a video, audio recording, simulation, activity, small game, website, animation, journal/story entry, poem, survey of people's knowledge of the ecosytem, etc.)
If you want to score more than the minimum 85%, here are a few questions you might try to answer/include.
Is your ecosystem endangered?
Describe at least one other ecosystem found somewhere else in the world that is similar to your ecosystem.
Describe two potential (or active) sources that can damage or destroy your ecosystem (make it unbalanced); be specific.
An outline or plan to conserve/preserve your ecosystem from change/damage.
